I build ShipYourClips on my own, and I use it every time I ship something.
Why I built ShipYourClips
When I started shipping my own products, I needed videos to show them off. I'd never made a demo clip before, and I didn't want to learn a video editor to make a good one.
I wanted a screen recorder that did the polish for me, worked with my AI agents over MCP, and didn't cost a silly amount every month. I couldn't find one that did all three, so I built it. Hit stop and the zooms and captions are already done, on your own Mac, without uploading a thing.
Fifteen years in social, and now the tools
I started in social media in 2011 and have run social and marketing for consumer startups, music and artist agencies, and plenty in between. These days I run a digital communications consultancy, and I design and build websites and apps.
Building my own products is the newest part. ShipYourClips, PostDecks and SiteHaul all started as tools I wanted for my own work.
Other things I've made
- PostDecks: preview a post on every platform before it goes out, and send a client one link to approve it.
- SiteHaul: a Mac app that captures every page of a site at desktop and mobile size, with the copy as Markdown.
